Biography

Aleksandra Resztik started her music education with piano studies at Karol Kurpinski Music School in Warsaw. In 2000 she began singing classes at Frideric Chopin Music School (class of Jadwiga Skoczylas). She continued her studies at Frideric Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Zdzislawa Donat, which she graduated with honours. Furthermore in 2006/2007 she studied at Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris (class of Isabel Garcisanz). In 2007/2008 she made a stage in opera studio CNIPAL in Marseille. During her studies at University of Music she received as well a diploma of Pedagogical Studies. In 2011 she graduated also from Cultural Management Studies at Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).

 

Aleksandra Resztik participated in many master-classes. She worked with Mady Mesple, Yvonne Minton, Tom Krause, Jean-Philippe Lafont, François Leroux, Barbara Schlick, James Oxley, Janusz Niziołek, Christian Elsner, Olga Pasiecznik, Silvana Dussmann and Helena Lazarska.

 

She is a laureate of Platówna Competition in Wrocław, “Flame” and “Ufam” Competitions in Paris. In August 2008 she received the First Distinction at the Festival in Nałęczów. In October 2008 she was laureate (First Distinction and Special Price of the President of Jury Wanda Polańska) at the Operetta Competition in Cracow. In April 2009 she received a Special Price for Coloratura Soprano at Ada Sari International Competition in Nowy Sacz. Aleksandra is also a laureate of Second Price in the J:Opera Competition in Austria.

 

Aleksandra Resztik is a bursar of the Bank SOCIETE GENERALE. Through the bursary she recorded the CD “Soloistes”. In March 2010 she recorded a composition “Bialy walc” (The White Valse), which is a part of the CD “Wanda Dubanowicz. Kompozytor i pedagog”, recorded in memory of the polish composer. She is also a bursar of the polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage.

 

At the stage she was Susanna in “The marriage of Figaro” by Mozart, Flaminia in “Il mondo della luna” by Haydn and Adele in “Die Fledermaus” by Strauss. In 2006 she sang at The Easter Festival in Cathedral in Chartres. She appeared on the stages of operas in Marseille, Avignon, Toulon and Besançon, in Warsaw Chamber Opera, Philharmony in Wrocław, Cracow, Walbrzych and The Great Theatre in Poznan. In May 2008 and in December 2010 she gave recitals at Polish Academy of Science in Paris. In June 2009 she was Damigella in “L’incoronazione di Poppea” by Claudio Monteverdi in Opera National de Bordeaux (France). In September 2010 she was Barbarina in "The marriage of Figaro" by Mozart - the project of Voice Impress Agency. Aleksandra Resztik was also the Queen of The Night (The magic Flute), Blonde (The Abduction from the Seraglio) and Bastienne (Bastien and Bastienne) at Mozart Festival of Warsaw Chamber Opera in June/July 2011.
